Websites built to be found
Website design and development
A website is a commercial tool, not a brochure. We build sites that load fast, read clearly, rank properly and make the next step obvious.
Website design and development is the work of planning, designing and building a site that serves both the people using it and the systems that need to understand it.
For most businesses that means a clear structure, fast loading, accessible design, content you can edit yourself, and search considered from the first wireframe rather than bolted on afterwards.
Signs your website is holding you back
- It takes a developer and a week to change a paragraph.
- It is slow on mobile, especially outside city centres.
- The structure grew by accident, so nobody can find anything in two clicks.
- It looks fine but produces almost no enquiries, and nobody can say why.
Who this is for
- Businesses whose site is more than five years old
- Companies that have outgrown a DIY builder
- Firms planning a rebrand or a new service line
- Anyone who has been quoted for a rebuild and wants a second opinion on whether they need one

WordPress runs a large share of the web for good reasons. Most of the problems blamed on it come from bloated themes, plugin sprawl and cheap hosting.
Shopify handles the hard parts of selling online. The difference between stores is structure, speed and how well the site answers a buyer’s questions.
Good design is mostly removal. Fewer decisions on each screen, clearer language, and an obvious next step for the person who is already interested.
Technical SEO is the difference between a website search engines can use and one they struggle with. It is usually the cheapest growth available, because nothing else works until it is right.
Website Design and Development questions
Do I need a new website for SEO?
Often not. Many sites can be fixed. A rebuild is justified when the platform is slow, the structure works against search, or content cannot be added without a developer.
How long does a website project take?
A straightforward brochure site is usually six to ten weeks. Larger sites with migration or ecommerce take longer, mostly because of content.
WordPress or Shopify?
Shopify if selling products is the main job. WordPress for content-led and service businesses. See our comparison (planned guide).
Will I lose rankings when the new site goes live?
Not if the migration is planned properly: URL mapping, redirects, content parity and monitoring. Rankings are lost when those steps are skipped.
Can I edit the site myself afterwards?
Yes. We build with editable components and hand over training. You should never need us for a copy change.
Do you provide hosting and support?
We can arrange both, or work with your existing provider if it is adequate.
